„Karlsruher Modell“ secured

OPPENLÄNDER advised the city of Karlsruhe on the formation of a "Karlsruher Group of Authorities", which will ensure the continued existence of the nationwide accepted "Karlsruhe Model" in local traffic. On 30.07.2019, the state of Baden-Württemberg, the city of Karlsruhe, the Zweckverband Rail Public Transport Rheinland-Pfalz Süd, the district of Karlsruhe, the city of Heilbronn and the district of Germersheim have concluded a public-law agreement on the formation of a "Karlsruher Group of Authorities". With this instrument of European Regulation 1370/2007, the participants ensure the continuation and further development of the successful “Karlsruher Modell” with its characteristic tram-train system.
